Part 2b

[edit] Introduction

So, you prefer to go down? Ok then, let's continue on.

[edit] Sector Y Mission Finish

After choosing to go down, there will be a sizable group of enemies. While you can use Charge Shots in some areas, it's generally best to fire your lasers relentlessly to take out as many enemies as possible. After emerging from the main lower area of the fleet, Peppy, Slippy, and Falco will fly in a triangle formation ahead of you. Use the boost to catch up to them in order to form a diamond formation. Doing this will give you a "1UP". ROB will confirm your location and send some supplies as there are 3 sizable groups of enemies. Lock on to the yellow colored enemy for each group to get the most possible hits out of them. Afterward, Slippy will notice something different up ahead. Fox will then have everyone go into all-range mode, and you will engage in battle with two Shogun Warriors. They are relatively quick, so aim carefully to avoid hitting your wingmates. Upon defeating the Shogun Warriors, the Combat Robot Shogun will be released to fight you. This one is even faster than the first two and also has a shield to block your laser fire for a short time. Be persistent and take him out to move on to the next planet.

Reunion

[edit] Mission Walkthrough

Upon request from General Pepper to help out the forces at Katina, the Star Fox Team will arrive on a melee-type scene. Just after arrival, Fox's old friend, Bill will come on the comm, glad that Fox and his team were able to make it to back up his forces. It is somewhat difficult to immediately recognize the enemies and your allies, but Bill will always say something if you shoot a good guy. Upon taking out 10 enemy fighters, Bill will spot the enemy mothership that is approaching the base. After a minute or two, the Saucerer will settle above the pyramid in the area and release numerous enemy fighters. From here on out, Charge Shots won't do you much good due to the sheer amount of enemies. Shortly after the enemies are released, Bill will tell you to go for the four hatches on the underside.

[edit] Question

Bill wants you to go after the four hatches? Take out the mothership or focus on the enemy fighters?
