Spyborg is a boss that is encountered at the end of the Sector X level in Star Fox 64 and Star Fox 64 3D. It is believed to be the secret weapon Andross was working on with General Pepper sending the Star Fox Team to investigate. However, something went wrong with the robot's programming and caused it to be uncontrollable. It proceeded to destroy most of the base on Sector X and the Star Fox Team is forced to destroy it at the end of the level to move on.
 Phase 1
In the 1st phase, you will want to aim your laser fire at Spyborg's yellow eyes to cause damage. It will swing with both of its heavy arms, so sway one way or the other to avoid them. Once you bring it down to 3/4th of its health, it will ask "Where is the creator?" before launching its arms right at Fox's Arwing. Once you get it down to half health, it will drop down a bit with its face destroyed. Slippy will believe the battle to be over, but this will lead to phase 2 instead.
 Phase 2
After floating motionless for a few seconds, Spyborg will rise back up while shacking its finger as if to say that it isn't over yet. Shoot at the same area you were, but watch out for it spinning its arms up and down instead of launching them straight at Fox. Slippy will attempt to handle it himself as Peppy tries to call him off and what happens next determines where you go after defeating Spyborg. If you destroy Spyborg before it can attack Slippy, you can go to Macbeth. However, if Spyborg manages to attack Slippy, the team will need to go rescue him at Titania.
- Throughout the Sector X level, there are arms that look just like Spyborg's. It is unclear if another one was in the works or if they are the arms Spyborg uses against the Star Fox Team.
- Spyborg's head closely resembles a Nintendo 64, the system Star Fox 64 was made on.
- The body of Spyborg actually looks very similar to R.O.B(Robotic Operating Buddy) which Nintendo created long before the release of Star Fox 64.
- Spyborg is the only boss that doesn't get some sort of nickname in front of its name in Star Fox 64 3D.
